1969 FORD MUSTANG MACH 1- DRIVER CONDITION ~ ‘GREAT ‘BONES’

ONE OF THE MOST POPULAR COLLECTOR CAR SEARCHES ON ANY CLASSIC CAR WEBSITE, FOR TWO YEARS RUNNING, IS ANY 1967-70 MUSTANG FASTBACK (63c). THERE’S GOOD REASON- IT WAS THE LAST OF THE CLASSIC SMALL MUSTANGS WITH BIG BLOCKS (until 1974… THEN, THEY WENT LILIPUTIAN), YET, BEFORE FOMOCO DECIDED SMALL BOATS WOULD BE IN VOGUE. WE FOUND THIS CAR BY THE FACT WE ARE LICENSED CLASSIC CAR APPRAISERS. IT CAME IN 8 YEARS AGO AND THEN REAPPEARED AT THE DOOR OF OUR MUSEUM FOR ANOTHER APPRAISAL. WHAT IMPRESSED US WAS, THIS BEAUTIFUL CLASSIC HAS ‘GREAT BONES‘. DESPITE THE FACT, IT HAD THE TYPICAL/OCCASIONAL, SMALL RUST BUBBLES SHOWING IN AND AROUND THE CAR….OUR MAGNET TEST SHOWED IT HAD A GREAT BODY (AS YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE). THE  REALLY GOOD NEWS WAS, IT HAILED ORIGINALLY FROM SAN JOSE, CALIF. (72) MADE A SHORT TRIP TO MASS. FOR A FEW YEARS AND THEN LIVED HERE, GARAGED IN THE HEART OF CENTRAL FLA. FOR YEARS… WHERE WE HAVE NO ROAD SALT. IT WAS ORIGINALLY, WHAT WE CALL ‘SLIME GREEN’ (LIME GOLD CODE’15’), AND IT HAD A NEEDED  COLOR CHANGE YEARS AGO TO WHAT FORD CALL’S “CHAMPAGNE GOLD (‘S’)” IN 1969. THE INTERIOR IS BLACK/ HI-BACK BUCKETS W/  RED INSERTS (CODE 31) WITH A BLACK HEADLINER. YOU CAN CONFIRM IT’S #’S BY DECIPHERING THE TRIM TAG YOURSELF, WE SEE IT AS A REAL MACH 1 FASTBACK WITH AXLE: ‘R’ ; 3:25-:01 LIMITED SLIP. AND TRANSM. ‘6’;  4-SPEED. PLUS, IT WAS ALSO CONFIRMED BY THE LAST OWNER, IT ORIGINALLY CAME WITH A 428 BUT, IT CARRIES A REBUILT 390 V8 (6,000 MILES AGO). SO, WE TOSSED AROUND LOCATING A 428 AND PUTTING IT BACK TO ORIGINAL BUT, OUR ‘PLATE IS FULL’ WITH OTHER EXPENSIVE SALES & ACQUISITIONS, WE DECIDED TO OFFER IT UP ON OUR WEBSITE AT A GREAT PRICE AFTER JUMPING INTO A PARTIAL RESTORATION. 2006 PORSCHE CAYMAN S MODEL SPORT COUPE

Shortly after the January 2006 showroom  introduction of the Porsche Cayman S …..advertising blanketed National Television showing a new, Bulbous Fendered- wide-bodied Sportscar showing up on streets all over America.  Not long after,  ‘Motor Trend Magazine’ rated this car as “The Best Handling Car Ever”.   Purchased 3 years ago w/ 17300 miles , it now has 23,404 so, this is one of the very lowest mileage examples you’ll find!  The core of the Cayman’s strength is that it neatly fills the gap between the Boxster and the coveted 911 series. It’s born with a stiffness afforded by a mid-engine design, solid-topped body , and built-in reflexes provided by a firmer suspension not to mention,  powerful thrust offered by a 3.4 flat-Six.  Porsche also built-in a bit of practicality in that the hatchback body style allows a total of 14.5 cubic feet of cargo space – not seen before. Driving one of these proves Porsche ability to connect you directly to the road through- ‘communicative steering’ . For the driving enthusiast- The Porsche Cayman S doesn’t get any better. What we quickly found out during our search is, many folks ordered these bare bones to make them affordable so, they are very hard to find slightly used, LOADED at a decent price. Then again, we opted to ‘pass’ on the racing brakes as the cost to replace them was too prohibitive and, since my wife drives like a 84 year-old with bad eyesight, we decided it was an unnecessary, useless expense. With all the most important ‘crucial’ options these could easily breach $65,500 – $78,000 new. Our 2 owner car was found in Northridge , California ( salt-free  road Country) and is finished in Guards Red w/ Black Leather. She is loaded with ‘Full’ Leather, 9-Speaker Bose Stereo, a $625 clear bra for the mirrors, headlights and nose, Trunk Interior Accent Chrome, 18 inch Porsche Alloy Rims, Larger Brakes w/ Red Calipers, White Metallic Gauge Faces, Mats, Stainless Ground Effects Trim, Trip Computer, Power Seats w/ Memory, Heated Seats, Porsche Active Suspension Management, the expensive cloisonné Porsche fender badges and the “S” Model Performance Package. We recently replaced the 2 rear tires with the correct Bridgestone. This car carries the optional “Preferred Package Plus” which includes: Rain Sensor, Self Dimming Mirrors, Power Seats, Bi-Xenon Headlights, Heated Seats, Colored Crest Wheel caps, Bose Stereo and Remote CD Changer + it has the $550 ‘Climate Control Package’. We even have a car cover. The S Model gives you the 3.4 liter motor/ almost 300 h.p…., Six Speed Transmission and over 250 lbs. torque to the rear wheels. Antilock Disc Brakes on all four corners, Traction Control plus Torso, Head and Side Impact Airbags are all Standard with this “S” model . The Variable Ratio Rack and Pinion Steering provides precise control and quick reflexes yet, we’re told, the Cayman S is stable at triple digit speeds. The big advantage of the S Model is 0-60 in 5.1 sec and a top speed of 171 m.p.h.. As you know- it’s all about MILEAGE & color on these cars- So, what we have here is the Most Desirable Options on an ultra-ACTUAL low mile title RED Cayman S, priced to sell at $35,500  SOLD

1987 BUICK GNX BARN FIND

Finding the “Holy Grail” to most car collectors is finding any “Barn Car” or “Barn Find” that is ORIGINAL with Low Mileage. They become the benchmark for any future restoration and collectability. Other then service/ tires updates, this Automobile is an original 1987 Buick ‘GNX’ Grand National. One of the 547 built by McLaren Performance Tech. and ASC under the approval, and watchful eye of Buick & General Motors. These were created with the express purpose to be “The Grand National to end all Grand Nationals”. They were the Last of the ‘G-Body Regals’ and were priced at $29,290 when released “New” in 1987 ($11,425 more then a ‘regular Regal’. Of the 547, it is well published, two of them (#001 and #002) are on display at the Sloan Museum in Flint Michigan. That leaves 545. Another one sold recently at the Barratt-Jackson Auction 1/21/15 for and amazing $165,000 USD (including buyers premium).  It had 362 ‘actual’ miles. Today, @28 years old, our 2-owner GNX has 280.4 miles. We have had it surveyed and it has been determined since it is monochrome (NO chrome), it should detail-out nicely. With the current popularity of  “Barn Cars” we think this car could be re-marketed ‘as is’! but, we finally gave into requests and after a service update here at a GM/Buick Dealer in FL. the car is now detailed. 1935 FORD MODEL 48 STANDARD 5-WINDOW RESTO-MOD COUPE

It was Ford’s reputation of reliability that set them so far ahead in popularity in the 30’s but, it was also because they were one of the very first to mass produce the dependable V8 when the other auto manufacturers were mired in the past…. still offering a straight six cylinder as the only engine choice. So, in our opinion, it’s not just about better design, when choosing to build a Resto-Mod or hot rod, but the ford models longtime reputation for speed and appearance is why they are the first choice when choosing a candidate for upgrading. Few ford enthusiasts would question Ford motorcars claim in 1935 that “the new ford had greater beauty, greater comfort and greater safety” then any previous models….despite the fact, the beloved ’34 was the ‘Bonnie & Clyde car”. Sales figures back that claim up because, by years end, the 1935 outsold the 1934 models by an amazing 262,580 cars!!! Beginning in 1934, ford decided to drop the ‘4 banger’ and offer only the V8. This gave them a speedy, simple, affordable car, in a huge range of body-styles, to fit any budget. Fact is, this Standard Coupe only cost $520 brand spanking ‘new’ so, it was a great buy to boot. By 1935, it gained a lower, sleeker , more streamlined appearance and lost the v-based grille. The fender outlines were more rounded and the louvered hood gained 3 horizontal bright chrome strips. The windshield was designed to appear ‘more sloped’ which resulted in making the car look ‘faster’, and ford saw fit to drop the clunky cowl lights which helped ‘clean-up’ the overall design. 22 options were offered: including a rumble seat, twin tail lights , radio , heater, clock, dual wipers, grille guard, bumper guards, and seat covers. So, in the end.. the result was Ford was America’s no. 1 selling car in 1935. In fact, it even paced the Indianapolis 500 race that year. To boot, ford celebrated yet, another hallmark by actually producing the 2 millionth V8 during 1935. Fifteen different versions of the model 48 were offered with the standard 2-door, like this one, being the most popular coupe in sales. The 3 window only sold 31,318 copies and are sought out by some but, personally, I found them difficult to see out of, especially with lane changes in those puny mirrors. So, when your building or buying a car to run in 50 mph traffic you have to pre-think the usefulness / end result and cover all your bases. It’s not always about ‘limited build’. The 1935’s 5-windows were roomier, had plenty of interior space for comfort (and girth) without that feeling of ‘driving a cave’, trunk plenty capabilities (without the rumble seat) and lots of room for something besides ’85-90′ HP under the hood. Our car did benefit from a total restoration and ‘build’ by Pratt Institute graduate and renown Corvette specialist Mario Dischiavi. Disciavi has a foundation of a 50 years reputation of being one of the Best Hot Rod and restoration specialist on the east coast. His corvettes have repeatedly won Duntov, Bloomington Gold & N.C.R.S top flight awards w/ his street rods, winning every major award. The result was a restoration that is truly ‘breathtaking’. This build could only be described as ‘over the top’ in quality. It includes: the finest materials and workmanship including a new ‘total coast engineering’ frame (with certificate), complete new mustang front coil chassis with leaf spring rear by HI tech, custom ‘vintage’ air conditioning package with Lasco heater & remote, optional total coast ‘power’ front rack, rear sway bar, power disc brakes, stainless brake lines, 9″ ford rear (3.25 gears), Chevrolet 350 crate motor & carb, new gm 700r overdrive transmission w/ Lokar overdrive display, on the automatic floor shift, custom dual exhaust w/ headers, custom balanced driveshaft, custom radiator, flaming river 12 volt wiring harness, flaming river steering column and steering wheel, plus another $8242.19 in additional custom parts. The full leather interior incl. Headliner replaced the original mohair yet, retained that ‘old-time’ pattern & look. Adding a custom Autosound 200 watt ‘SecretAudio SST’ system w/6 CD changer and tilt wheel helps snap one back to reality & current times, original spoke wheels were replaced by Vintique deep dish wheels & ford V8 logo chrome caps, (5) Coker wide whitewall radial tires with exterior spare, as original. The expert craftsmanship provided by Dischiavi rods and restorations was performed on an a Florida ‘all Henry Ford’, and a rust-free body. We added the Trippe foglights. The total package restored was just over $100,000 (receipts). It was a Florida, bare metal, re-paint in base coat clear coat, finished in Rolls Royce Ebony Black with Dark Burgundy Leather interior. There are folks who build one of these supercharged, with blowers and multiple carburated hot rod- but, this car was designed for an adult to drive long distances without ‘buying’ a gas station or owning stock in an oil CO. Truly custom built to be driven and enjoyed with ice-cold air and working heat, automatic gearbox w/ overdrive and hi-way gears for high speed and low revs…… kind of an ‘adult Resto-Mod’ and proud of it.

1959 CADILLAC ELDORADO ‘SEVILLE’ SPORT COUPE

We have been searching for an Eldorado Coupe for 6 years but, each time fate would intervene and another admirer beat us to the punch. Finally we captured this beauty about 4 years ago for Museum display. This is not just the “Holy Grail of All Cadillac’s” but, “The Crown Jewel” or the “Holy Hand Grenade” / Ultimate ‘YANK TANK’ that blows all of the Standard issue Cadillac’s out of the box. It is the Cadillac Eldorado Seville Sport Coupe.  To put it into perspective: if you thought the Eldorado Biarritz Convertibles were “rare” ( 1,320 made).. for the same price ‘new’ you could have had the Eldorado “Seville” Sport Coupe (only 975 built)!  This beauty is finished in the year’s most popular color “Persian Sand” with excellent White Vinyl Top and corresponding Pink & Mauve original Leather Interior. Both Convertible and Sport Coupe posted window stickers at $7401 plus options ($8451 as seen). That was the cost of more than THREE 1959 Chevrolet Impala’s (@$2,717 each). There weren’t a lot of options that year as many items came as ‘Standard Equipment’. [Reference: actual ’59 Showroom Brochures, ’59 Cadillac Accessories Catalog & the Standard Guide to Cadillac Book].  Those STANDARD Features were: the exclusive Eldorado (stainless) Beltline Side Chrome, a Vinyl Top (yes, vinyl top), 390/ 345 h.p.V8 w/ Triple carburetion (3-2’s), Automatic Transmission, Air Suspension ( which was replaced on most by dealer recall), Electric Door Locks,  Two-Way Power Seat, Electric Windows, Remote Trunk Release, Heater, Signal Seeking AM Radio w/ Automatic Antenna & One Speaker, Wide Whitewall Tires, Foglamps, 3:21 Rear Differential, “Special ” Unique Hubcaps, and Fender Skirts. Plus, they also had as Standard Equipment; Power Brakes, Power Steering, 2-Speed Windshield Washers, Vanity Mirror One Drivers Side Rearview Mirror, and Dual Back-Up Lights. Incidentally, Bucket seats were an option but, AT NO COST EXTRA! (only 99 of those made the cut). OPTIONAL Accessories were: Power vent Windows, Air Conditioning, Radio Foot Control, Autronic Eye [headlamp beam control], Passenger Door Rearview Mirror, Seatbelts, Mats,Spare Tire Cover, SIX-way Power Seats, License Plate frames, and Power vent Windows – “Persian Sand” was a Special Order Color. ALL of which this Eldorado carries!  The only thing it lacks was the problematic Cruise control, and 2nd Rear Seat Speaker.

 This car came out of Ojai, California ( original Black California Plates w/car) and sat in a private collection for over 27 years with the 2nd owner in Detroit or, at his Ft. Lauderdale, FL. home.  The caring owner lavished this car in ‘whatever it needed’ and even took an annual trip from his home to visit N.Y. every year since his purchase. “Investment Grade”, in #2 Cond.: 1st QUARTER N.A.D.A Collectible Guide has placed this car w/ documentation at over $120,000. We have dedicated this car for display in our Museum in memory of the legend of the late, great ‘Elvis Presley’SOLD TO CA.

2000 VOLKSWAGON BEETLE TURBO

PART OF FINDING SOMETHING “UNIQUE” IS SEARCHING WITH AN OPEN MIND. THIS IS JUST A LOW-MILE, YELLOW 2000 VW BEETLE BUT, WHAT MADE IT OUTRIGHT ‘AWESOME’ WAS THE FACT IT WAS OWNED BY A WEALTHY FAMILY WHO HAD 8 CARS IN THE GARAGES, ONLY USED IT FOR A SHOW CAR’ UNTIL THEY GREW WEARY OF THE POLITICS AND HUM-DRUM OF THE CAR SHOW CIRCUIT. 1985 AUTOKRAFT A.C. COBRA MKIV

One of these seldom appear on the Market due to the fact , like the Ford GT they were made in ultra-limited numbers(386). Actually made by the same company that built the original’s that Carroll Shelby adopted to build his 427SC. In fact, when Carroll claimed he found 6 deserted in a warehouse, Road & Track  discovered, he actually bought them from Autokraft….the same folks who bought out A.C.  We have kept in touch with this car because we sold in 15 years ago to the gentleman who has taken it over-the-top. It is listed in the SAAC Cobra Registry (page 302  and again on Page 292). It is known as AK1064 / Series 3 MKIV Cobra. 1 of 130, 302 V8’s

This is an original Aluminum Autokraft AC Cobra hand-built in Surrey England, @ the same Brooklands historic facility, by the same panel beaters who used the original jigs & dies used to stamp the original AC Bristol’s and Cobras. They sold the completed cars to Ford Motor Company in 1984-85 who then marketed them through a handful of selected Ford Dealers for $47,500 [89,900 Pounds]in the mid-eighties. The same year Corvettes were priced at $27,027-$32,480. This car was sold new by Muck Motors in New York to a North Carolina- Jupiter Island, FL resident. This particular car was Finished in Anthracite Grey with the original Black Leather Bucket seats, Black Wilton Wool Carpets and Black Soft Top . It carries the 5-speed BW gearbox and 3:71 Rear Diff. to give awesome performance yet, still great gas mileage. Since our initial sale: this car has only covered a total of 7,364 miles yet, had the engine upgraded by the wealthy 2nd owner from the 210 hp standard 302 Mustang to a 375-400 HP 302 using all the latest Hi-Performance Spec Modifications. This includes new Aluminum Cylinder Heads, Roller Camshaft, Custom Pushrods, Advanced Timing Chain Set-Up and the new SEMA Award-Winning ‘FAST’ Fuel Injection, which self adjusts to existing Cam/Engine via (2) different Computers. “Bullet-proof” new F.I. System. Quick STARTS and Rocket Fast Performance. They were also equipped with 15″ Halibrand Style Knock-Off Wheels/Hex Nuts. This Beauty SOLD TO Orlando FL You are looking at a Corvette designed and built the way Bill Mitchell and Zora Duntov originally envisioned. A Shark Inspired, Tribute to the Gran Sport Race Car, a 1965 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Professionally Custom built with the Flared Fenders of the Gran Sport Series, last issue Front Fender Louvers from the ’67 Vette and a Big Block Hood seen on the last issue Mid-Year Vettes. Finished in “Glen Blu-Green” it’s complimented by Full Leather Black Bucket Seats w/ built-in Headrests and Leather Console Pad. Under the hood, this 10 yr.old total Body-Off-The-Frame-Restoration has been blessed with a 468 cubic inch Lingenfelter Corvette Motor, Blow Proof Bell Housing, Doug Nash 5-Speed Gearbox and Eaton 3:55 Positraction Rear. The motor carries a 850cfm Holley mounted to an Aluminum Weiand Intake, Aluminum Radiator w/ 7-Blade Fan and upgraded Suspension. That includes the 4 whl. 1961 JAGUAR MK IX SALOON SEDAN

Just out of our ‘Museum Collection’: One of the Most Beautiful Sedans ever produced out of England. It was introduced at the Earls Court London Motor Show in 1958. It immediately garnished a score of sales from Rolls-Royce and Bentley as it was equally prestigious yet, priced lower ($6,500 vs $15,655) and offered just as many features (with a lot less maintenance). Despite the fact the body style was similar to the previous Jag model MKVII, perhaps since it was the Queen Mother’s favorite car, Jaguar was reluctant to change the style. This final version acquired the much needed 4-Wheel Servo-Assist Dunlop Disc Brakes, Power Steering, better Heating System, and the newly offered, bored-out 3.8 XKE Motor w/ 2-SU Carburetors all part of the package, when delivered fresh from the factory. This was one of the First Jaguar Motors Cars to benefit from the huge success of the Jaguar Sportcars in such races as the 24 Hrs. of Lemans and other great Endurance Races. This racing pedigree, and the fact, this is the Last of Year this Model, automatically places this beautiful MK IX as one of  the Most Desirable & Collectable Big Cats.

Only 10,005 MKIX’s were ever built in 3 years from 1959-1961. Specifically: 5,984 (English) Right-hand Drive and only 4,021 LHD Left Hand. This car is 43rd from last. Virtually all were equipped with, what is considered, an excellent Borg-Warner Automatic 3-spd. Gearbox though, a 4- speed manual with Overdrive was available by Special Order. Two-tone paint was one of just a few options- however, in our opinion it makes the car look dated… like an earlier MKVII Model, as it distracts from the body contours. We love those beautiful curved bodylines and sculptured Fender Skirts !

You sit deep in Vat Dyed Optional Connolly Hyde Bucket Seats (in lieu of Bench), encompassed by the finest Jaguar Ambla or Leather at every turn with plush Wilton Wool Carpets and Headliner. The finest Circassian Walnut Veneers completely surround you in copious amounts on Door Tops, Bucket Seat Backs and a Full Dashboard. This model even offers full Picnic Tables, just like its counterpart,

the Bentley & Rolls-Royce (Seatbelts added for Safety). Only a few U.S. Delivery Jaguars, like ours, came optioned with a Sunshine Roof, while it is said, all Right Hand Drive Deliveries came as Standard. On entry, the smell alone, sends one looking for his / her Mink Coat, or Jar of Grey Poupon. We have added Caviar in a Silver Serving Dish, & Toast in a Basket. At the back, the large trunk allows the Spare to be carried upright, while the Jack & Tools are tucked under the lip. The Steering Wheel is Telescopic, allowing for larger waist-bound “spare tires” or shorter drivers. You can find several secret compartments hidden in and around the passenger compartment (like map & brochure pockets) while each front door holds a fitted tray for Tools (we spent over $2,000 replacing all the missing correct tools). Night-time brings the special James Bond-style black-light bulbs that light the dash to life. You’ll easily mind the gap at the curb safe guarding your extra-cost wide whitewalls after spotting ‘Pussy Galore’ with the Optional Lucas 576 SRL “Nipple” Driving Lamps mounted on the front apron & Halogen “J” Headlights. Dual Gas Tanks (remote operated) make for a clean get-a-way while trying to tune-in your original “RadioMobile” AM radio (sorry, it’s defunct). Optional French Amber tail lights will light your departure. The backseat even contains two hidden cigar lighters to activate your imaginary flamethrowers. This automobile was designed as the Ultimate Highway Cruiser  it literally glides down the asphalt in consummate luxury…a great way to return to the 60’s.

 It was rust-free & beautifully restored with new, Opalescent Gun Metal Gray Paint, new Light Grey Connolly Leather/Wilton Wool Carpets, mechanical (including full Suspension) and Professionally restored Wood and Chrome over the last several years. It drives out beautifully and sits on 4 recent Firestone Bias Ply Wide Whitewall Tires. 1951- 52 CHEVROLET “THRIFT MASTER” DLX 3100 SERIES 1/2 TON PICKUP- SOLD

This Series Chevy Pickup was known as “The Advanced-Design Era” and it went into production late in the year May 1,1947. Consequently, there are two different designs on the resale market for that first year-… the old “Wurlitzer Grille” Style and this  body-configuration, known by G.M. Dept. Heads as “the Round and Juicy Style “. It culminated in early 1955 with the introduction of the square “Task Force” Model.  Chevrolet was ‘proud  ‘ and bragged it  was designed  with “Uni-Steel Battleship Construction”. By 1951, the Chevy Truck had matured into one of the Most Loved, Recognized, Most Appreciated, Sought After Trucks ever made. This ’51 Model is special in many ways and, to hard core collector’s, is considered the Most Collectible of that entire Series. The 1951, is the First w/ Wind Wing Side windows and The Last with while Chromium features which were completely eliminated by 1952 . The ’51 Chevy 3100 Thrift Master stands out from all the others in this Series because America was just hunkering down for the War in Korea so again, it is The Last ‘Chrome Laden’ Model.. To boot, this beauty is not only the FIVE Window version (Chevrolet called it “Observation Car Vision”) but, a deluxe style with all the “frivolous” Extra Chrome… This truck was built in March of 1951 yet, (due to the Economy?) did not sell and was titled until 1952, for the first time.  Therefore, by VIN, it carries all the 1951 features like a Chrome: Grille, Window Handles, Wiper Knob, Dash Fascia Trim, Chrome Window Trim and ‘Chrome’ Series Badges on the Hood. When you go Classic Truck shopping & many times you see Chrome Grilles on the later “Advanced Design Series” Trucks…many have been ADDED during it’s life ($60 option at the time!). Since Chromium was needed for the war effort…. Chevrolet  and GMC eliminated most all bright metal from production trucks with the 1952 Model causing this correct model to stand-out in Truck History.

also offered a host of ‘new’ improvements: Bendix Self-Energizing “Duo-Serve” Brakes, 80 mph Speedo, Lavish Chrome Dash Trim, Parking Brake Pedal, “Double Decker Spring Seats” w/ Ball & Roller Bearing Seat Adjuster, Improved ‘new’ Front Stabilizer Bar, was the 1st Year of Vent Windows, and they carried  the standard Mid-Year change of EIGHT, wider Boards, in the Truck Bed instead of 9 smaller.  Factory Options were extended to: Twin Tail lights, Chrome Grille Guard, Hand-held-Plug-In Spotlight, AM  P.B. Radio, “Nu Vue” Side Windows (2), Glamour Rings for the Wheels, Rear Chrome Bumper (yes, it WAS an option this year) , H.D. Chevrolet Heater, and WWW Tires.  This Series was originally powered by the 216 cubic inch / 92 h.p. Thrift Master Six,   Hence, this truck, like most that have survived, has been thankfully retro-fitted with a 235 c.i. 115 hp “Stovebolt” 6 cyl. motor (’54). All carried the 3-speed Synchromesh Transmission- w/ column shift ( the 4-speed ‘stump puller’ was optional).

1973 AMC “LEVI EDITION” BLUE GREMLIN ‘RESTO-MOD’   SOLD TO CANTON, MICHIGAN

For us, this car started with a request (acquisition order) from an Old Friend and 24 year Customer. He called , a 5 years ago, and asked us to “Create A Car” Dedicated to both his Son’s.
To make matters even more difficult, our customer narrowed the order down to the seldom-ever-seen ( let alone, not many sold new) “Levi Edition, Gremlin”.
This limited edition ‘Levi Edition’ model was touted as “The American Fashion Look ” by American Motors in a Press Release dated June 1, 1972. It stated….. ” the AMC Gremlin would be the first U.S. Sub-Compact to offer an especially created, Fashion-Oriented upholstery….a blue denim “Levi’s” optional trim package with a Blue Jean Look. Authentic Blue Indigo Cloth was fitted to Gremlins Highback Bucket Seats and Fold-down Rear Bench Seat. The familiar copper rivets will replace tufted buttons in Seatbacks and Cushions. Orange contrasting stitching joined the seams. This Special Model would be identified by “Levi’s” traditional pocket tab appearing inside the car on the front seats and the

LEVI’S Logo would be mounted on the front (fender) panels”.

Found in Southern California and shipped to Florida it cost us a boat-load (non-runner) but, it gave us the start to this Great Project. It was voted between the owner, and the engine builder (Dave Triplett- Million Dollar Man Race Winner) that the very best performance combination for this car (weight vs. power) would not be a small block Chevy but, go with a 360 AMC V8~ pressed to the wall for maximum horsepower) coupled to a 4-speed AMC gearbox, and Positraction Rear. The entire idea of this project was to create something BONE STOCK looking with a big block with manageable Power. The entire vehicle was then shipped 350 miles to a longtime friend,  a Restoration Shop in South Fla., where they bead blasted & refinished in Frame Black, what was, a mint undercarriage & frame and then refinished the entire car, including firewall in “Maxi Blue”. Three months later, the car arrived back in Central Fla. freshly done in Base Coat / Clear Coat. Triplett reconfigured the installation and started the engine build of the motor utilizing every minute of his spare time – all this, between his Professional Drag Racing Career and Managing one of the area’s better Auto Parts Store….so, our heart-felt THANKS go out to David for his efforts! He started with a ’73 AMC 360 motor that already had TRW Flat top Pistons installed, plus it rcvd. ARP Rod Bolts, Crane Power Max H302-2 Hydraulic Camshaft, Crane Lifters, Crane Gold Roller Rocker Arms, Performance Cylinder Heads; Fully Ported and Polished with Sealed Power Valves & Springs. He then added a Vintage ’70’s Edelbrock ‘Torker’ Manifold (NOS), Holley 650 Carb, Cloyes Timing Set, ARP Head Bolts and Felpro Gaskets & Michigan Bearings throughout, with a sealed Power High Volume Oil Pump Kit. He also added Hedman Hustler Headers, G.M. Chrome 100amp 1-wire Alternator, Aluminum High Performance Northern Racing Radiator, MSD Distributor and Taylor Spiro Pro Wires. The results a $40,000 undisputable 360 + cubic inch road rocket. ‘Fun’ but, way too much work. 1,652 miles, 16 cars shows and five years later we put it up for sale. 2013 CHEVROLET AVALANCHE

SOLD TO TAMPA, FLA. The last Avalanche rolled off the assembly line in 2013 and took with it another Legend in Automotive History. Beginning in 2001 with an ‘ugly rubber duckling'(in our eyes), it morphed into a really fantastic, beautiful Swan.

Based on the overwhelming reception and appeal of the 2001 Avalanche, Chevrolet then began building a Light Duty ‘Crew-Cab’ truck Series the whole family could use. By 2003 ‘Crew Cabs’ were occupying 65% of the Light Truck marketplace (in reality International Harvester was the First in 1957 to build Full-Size , with Land Rover introducing their Light Truck version in 1987). This is the 2WD version (MUCH better gas mileage) The Chevrolet Avalanche promised 21 mpg Hwy. while, Cadillac bragged on 18mpg.  This vehicle is compatible with the new Flex Fuel and does respond with that Super Luxury Ride. Incidentally, It DOES ride as good as a Bentley.LOADED WITH EVERY OPTION EXCEPT LEATHER. It had only 5,200 miles   SOLD

1959 PLYMOUTH GTX HARDTOP 426 HEMI

The Chrysler HEMI is considered One of The Pivotal Muscle Cars of the Era. The B-Body ’69 Plymouth GTX was Plymouth’s First ‘Purpose Built’ Supercar. Built on the 116″ wheelbase Belvedere/ Satellite it was offered in a Convertible or 2-Door Coupe format. Designed as an “Executive Hot Rod” it was considered plush by Mopar Standards (especially against the austere Road Runner). It could be driven like a slot car in traffic yet, had plenty of power on reserve. Production in 1969 was just 15,602 but, only 209 were Hemi’s and of those, only 70 were 4-speeds (Chrysler dropped the Hemi from production in 1971). They will always be considered The Horse Power ‘King of The Pack’ in Classic Cars. This is the exact reason this car was transformed from a 440 /375 hp to a New 426 Hemi (a deal was $18,247+). 1936 FORD ‘STANDARD’ 5-WINDOW BUSINESS COUPE   SOLD-SOLD TO CANADA

This beauty was discovered in the far reaches of Northern Florida in the “Fern Capitol Of The World”.  Always Garage Kept and Babied, we located it, on the St. John’s River in a freshwater fishing camp. After speaking several times at length with the owner, I was able to capture this beauty for the Museum display and the eventual sale as a excellent, uncobbled example of an original ’36 Ford Model 68, 5 Window Coupe. It has the optional Rumble Seat and is the precursor to the “Club Coupe’ offered in 1937. For starters, I find there are two schools of devoted followers of ’36 Ford’s. Not just ‘Stockers’ or ‘Hot Rodders’ but, some like the 3-Window and other’s the 5-Window version. Personally, we like the ability to SEE out of the car and the 3-Window makes that very difficult (recently sold one).  The previous owner report that he drove it 4,000 miles on one, recent Summer vacation. We took that as Great News for….. it’s dependable, smooth ‘RUNNING CAPABILITY” ! It is drop-dead gorgeous in Henry Ford’s favorite color; Black with a new Mohair-style Interior just fitted. The Jump Seat is Brown Naugahyde as original. It carries it’s own rear-mount ‘Continental Spare Tire’ (before they called them that) and has the traditional Wind-out front Window for ventilation, as well as, the crank-up Cowl Air Vent for coooool Summer driving. She still has the original 16″ Wheels with near-new (optional) Wide Whitewall Nylon Bias Ply Firestone Script  Tires, Banjo-Steering Wheel, recently chromed Bumpers yet, original Standard floor  shift 3-speed Transmission. We have just fitted this beauty with new Chrome Door Handles, Rumble Seat Grab Bars, Dual Mirrors and even a rare Ford Clock Rearview Mirror. We felt the car was too nice not to not get 4 new hubcaps so, we decided to add those. For us, the interior seat material needs replaced with the correct color (seen here in wrong color). We purchased the new, correct mohair-style material but, have not installed it. Buy this car at a discount , as is. 1956 CORVETTE CONVERTIBLE C-1

SOLD TO HARTFORD, CT.

This is one of the Most Striking Corvette’s we have ever had the pleasure of placing in stock. It is finished in Polo White with Silver Coves and Red Interior. It carries a White Soft Top, 265 V8 / 210 hp w/ 4v Carb and Automatic Transmission. Options were few that year but, this car is fitted with nearly all of them: Heater, Wonderbar Signal Seeking Radio, Parking Brake Alarm Light, Courtesy Lights, Windshield Washer, White Wall Tires, Two-Tone Body Paint, Colored Top vs. Black, 3:36 Rear Axle and instead of the 3-speed manual, you could order the Powerglide, as seen in this car.. This was a full restoration, including Media Blast of a perfect candidate. Though the ’56 was offered with a 2-4v Carb option, the base motor Corvette is still viewed as the easiest Driven, Most- Tracktable, least problematic.   

This model Vette was completely restyled in 1956 with not only a more rounded rear-end, striking curved coves, and slab sides found on the previous models, but, with a more agressive front end. The famous scoops remained on top of the fenders. Six colors were available with ‘cove color’ added at extra cost ($19.40). The biggest improvements were loosing the removable Plexiglass curtains and replacing them with proper, roll-up, Glass Windows and adding external door handles with locks. Even the Soft-top frame was improved so, it was easily operated. Incredibly, in an age of Massive Chrome Adornment, the Corvette was designed with ‘exquisite’ Spartan detailing. Emblems and Scripts were understated, the body clean and free of Giant Fins. Funny, as the Corvette was also grossly underpriced. In fact, it was initially overlooked because it was priced so low ($3120). As with previous years the Convertible was the only body style available.

This beauty comes to us from South Florida. It has benefitted from a complete frame-up restoration and though it’s owner wasn’t crazy about the politic’s of the show circuit, it did win several 2nd Flight NCRS Trophies. Even better news. it has always been serviced by one of the most acclaimed Corvette Specialty Shops in South FL.  Characteristically, it’s important to know: the C-1 and C-2 corvettes have held their value better than almost any the other Marque.

1964 MORRIS MINOR 1000 TRAVELLER “WOODIE” WAGON   SOLD

Very few Morris Minors were built, and sent to the USA as Left-hand-Drive versions (only 212 shipped to the USA in 1964 of ALL Models* source:

Ward’s Automotive Yearbook. Few still exist as they were destroyed – or, were made into kindling wood. Most, indeed, were “Right Hookers” (right-hand drive) built for overseas use.
It is a true, nut and bolt refurbishment by Morris Minor Center in Inkwell, England. stripped to the bare body shell, painted in (high-button shoes) Lacquer in it’s original colour of “Trafalgar Blue” completed ‘rotisserie style’ with literally everything replaced including the Glass, Wood, Full Trim and full Mechanical upgrades. It benefit’s from a new (Euro) Ford 5-Speed Gearbox, Power Disc Brakes, Telescopic Shock Suspension, Classic Pinstripe in Red, 1300cc “A+” Engine, Late Model Steering, ‘Morris’ dog dish hubcaps, and more. The Interior seats were replaced with safer, High-back Versions of the original design but, are embellished with (Rolls-Royce-style) Red Piping. All the Wood was replaced in the exact pattern as the original in English Ash and recently refinished. Due to the hot Texas climate, Air Conditioning was designed and installed by Chisenhall.   Seen here on the hills in front of our Museum is One of the Most Recognized, Iconic American Cars ever to Hit the Road. It has been in more Movies, Television Shows and Print Advertising than any other Early Bird and most other Classic Cars ever made. In fact, it has even been pictured on a United States Postage Stamp. This prime example has come to us from California and then Florida and comes complete with a copy of it’s original Dealer Built Sheet from Ford via Dearborn. It is finished in the most desirable and correct color “Fiesta Red” with Red/White Bench Seat and White Hard and Soft Tops. It is optioned with the 312 c.i. / 225hp V8 and Ford-o-Matic Automatic Transmission, Oil Filter (yes, it WAS an option), Positive Action Windshield Wipers , Chrome Engine Dress Kit, Power Steering, Soft Top, Power 4-way seats, ‘Safety Package’ (Visors & Padded Dash) WWW Tires, Full Wheel Covers, AM Radio & Antenna, Heater & Defroster, Back-Up Lights, Power Brakes and Fender Skirts. 1959 CADILLAC COUPE DEVILLE SERIES 6300 2-DOOR COUPE

This Pink Beauty is an exercise in Glamour & Glitz that was so often seen in the 50’s that has all but, disappeared in our lives now. If it wasn’t the sheer size of this behemoth….. it was those bodacious and, memorable fins. Yet, when you drive it- they are surprisingly agile and handle more like a smooth Chevy Sedan than “The Standard of The World”- Cadillac. This knock-out beauty was discovered after completion of a recent restoration in Michigan.  Though the car is originally from Florida it was purchased and sent to Michigan for restoration. We’re slightly prejudiced: we think the Coupe is better looking than the Convertible ! This is a Coupe DeVille Model 59-63 which

Cadillac only produced 21,924 in 1959 and this one is seen in it’s original color’s of “Woodrose Metallic”- .. it is further complimented by a “Dover White” Hardtop and 2-Tone Rose Brocade & Leather interior.  It has undergone a frame-up restoration by a  Midwest Restoration Shop that tout’s itself to have produced vehicles that achieved several top-bid’s at Barratt-Jackson. In an effort to please the next owner: We have just sent the car for further restoration to meet our Standards. 1994 PORSCHE 911/ 964 “SPEEDSTER”

WITH THE ‘NEW’ 2011 PORSCHE SPEEDSTER NOW RELEASED WITH A PRICE TAG STARTING AT $204,000 (AND RUMORED THE DEALERS WILL BE SELLING THEM JUST UNDER $300,000) THE ICONIC VINTAGE SPEEDSTERS (PRE ’57, 89 AND ’93-’94) HAVE TAKEN,YET ANOTHER, JUMP UPWARD IN VALUE. PORSCHE HAD PLANS TO BUILD 3,000 OF THESE CARS IN 1993 BUT, ENDED UP ONLY PRODUCING 936 FROM 1993 TITLED IN 1994. 14 OF THOSE WERE RIGHT-HAND-DRIVE AND 20 WERE TURBO-LOOK WIDEBODIES. MOST OF THEM STAYED IN GERMANY.   ONLY 427 ’94 SPEEDSTERS MADE IT TO OUR SHORES. (AND NOW THE GERMANS ARE TRYING TO BUY THEM BACK!). ALREADY OVER 17 YEARS OLD, THESE ‘SPEEDSTERS’ WOULD REPRESENT THE LAST OF THE LAST AIR-COOLED SPEEDSTERS, WITH FAR LESS BUILT THAN THE 1989 MODEL WHICH REACHED 2,065 (823 DESIGNATED U.S.). IT IS ALSO WRITTEN THAT ONE WAS BUILT IN GULF BLUE FOR JERRY SEINFELD. IT SOLD ‘USED’ IN SEPT.2009 FOR $101,200 AT THE BARRETT-JACKSON AUCTION. THE LAST SPEEDSTER BUILT HAD TO BE FINISHED BY THE PORSCHE  FACTORY SONDERWINSCH PROGRAM BECAUSE THEY HAD ALREADY CLOSED SPEEDSTER PRODUCTION. IT WAS BUILT FOR KEVIN YEUNG OF HONG KONG.

1969 CHEVROLET CAMARO RALLY SPORT Z/28 JL-8 CROSSRAM
This is a car that was originally part of our Museum Collection, that we reluctantly sold back in the Early Nineties to enable us to move and remodel a large showroom in Jupiter/ Tequesta FL. It is a really nice Los Angeles built tapered rear-axle JL-8 4-Wheel-Disc Brake Z/28 (only 206 made) and one of 100 with the original set of Crossram Manifold w/ 2-4 carbs. It is heavily optioned for a JL-8 and Unique because it is one of 1.4% built in Tuxedo Black with a matching ‘Deluxe:712’ / ‘Comfort Weave’ Bucket Seat Interior w/ Rosewood trim. It carries the White Lemans Stripe and Spoilers Front & Rear, as well as, the optional Endura Front Bumper. This car was fitted with the WideBase Crossram Air Cleaner and Glass Hood from new…. w/ the Prop Rod and Chrome Hood Pins. It not only is the Rare Rally Sport Edition but, also has Speedminder, Rear Window Defroster and Console Gauges, Center Dash Clock (working), Power Steering, 3:73 “UX” Code Positraction, AM/FM with Dipole Antenna & Rosewood Steering Wheel. The usual Z/28 equipment is included as: Goodyear Polyglas GT Tires, Variable Steering, 8,000 rpm Tach, Fuel Light, 4-Speed Transmission, and Rear Bumper Guards. Mileage is 76,403 miles. The original owner found us back in the mid-90’s and told us the car had a SCCA racing history in Los Angeles and explained some of the rare options. We sold this car to a very anal customer from Ocala in the mid-90’s who kept the car two years ( we were told he spent $10,000 ‘detailing’ the car). He then sold it to a collector in Ohio who resold it after several years (with our assistance) to another Buckeye State resident. We have followed the car for over 7 years until it became available due to economic times. 1949 CHRYSLER WINDSOR ‘HIGHLANDER’ CONVERTIBLE

SORRY, SOLD TO SORRENTO, FL.

This is an automobile you won’t see many of…for several reasons. Most have been crushed and made intoKelvinator Refrigerator’s.The other reason is: Limited Build. Chrysler only built 3,234 of these great old Convertible Coupes in 1949. The Windsor Series was an upgraded version of the Royal and it included Fluid Drive and the PrestoMatic Transmission as standard equipment ( which allowed you to either column shift the standard “H Pattern” or leave it in final gear). The ’49 Chrysler Dashboards were ‘Padded for Safety’ and offered an adjoining ‘key starter’ for the Very First Time.The Scotch plaid ‘Highlander” Interior was an option and definitely served to brighten -up the car on every level. The gas filler was moved to the left-rear fender while this model carried an L-Head cast iron Six Cylinder 250 c.i./ 114 h.p. engine as standard fare. Production started late ( another reason for low-build) as Chrysler suffered a Tool & Dye Strike that year. This setback might also have been instrumental in MOPAR dropping the 3-passenger Coupe at the end of that year.

This car was a Big, Lumbering Giant of a Car that literally ‘floated’ down the highway but, surprisingly the Six Cylinder was known to keep up with the best performance of the Eight Cylinder Version , standard in the fancier, more costly New Yorker Series. The big L-Head Eight only boasted 21 more horsepower but, carried a lot more weight in the process. The Windsor Series Convertible came with a hefty price tag (for 1949) at $2598, plus options but, perhaps since the body carried few identification plates, the Windsor outsold the New Yorker by better than 2 to 1, at more than $1,200 less. Optional Equipment offered was: Wide Whitewall Tires, Colored or Chrome Wind Wing Vents, Exhaust Deflector, Chrome Grille Guard, “Highlander” Scotch Plaid Upholstery, Radio, Heater, Weather-Proof Ignition, Auto-Compass, Underhood Light, Spotlights, Foglamps, Windshield Washer and Spare Tire Valve Extension.

This pre-sold excellent example is finished in Cream with Dark Red “Highlander”Upholstery, Tan Canvas Top, WWW Tires, PrestoMatic Automatic Gearbox, Power Steering, AM Radio, Dual Spotlights, Amber Foglamps, Power Top, Grille Guard and more.
