45 R.P.M. AUTOMOBILE RECORD PLAYER
This is one of our most demanded ‘hottest sellers‘. A vintage 1950’s 45 r.p.m. record player that mounted under the dash. They were primarily made by RCA under license also as ‘ARC’ and other brands sold new at ‘Western Auto’, ‘Sears’, ‘Montgomery Ward’ and very popular with Teenagers with a little dough in their pocket. They would play (8) 45 rpm records stacked so, you could woo your girlfriend with your favorite hit Singles an, perhaps, even ‘get lucky’ while “necking” :). It was designed to amazingly ride bouncing along without missing a beat. Since the average Top 40 Radio ‘Hit’ was 2.5 minutes long, you had about 20 minutes to get the job done…. LOL. We have specialized in these for the last 14 years and seek them out all across the USA. They are VERY hard to find without rust bubbles (from sitting on the shelf in the garage) and NOT missing the needle, radio plug or internal parts. It is complete, and at last mount- worked like a charm. This one had a Full Chrome Cabinet with faux wood facia, which was unusual…most were stipple black paint w/ chrome front only. You can see this ARC player is in excellent condition. $1500
